Peek-a-boo Pisces!

HI all,

It has been a very busy few weeks for me. A few updates for you:

- Cosi: As you may know, I had 11 paintings up at their 44th and 3rd avenue location from July 15-October 15. They were interested in showing more of my work so I swapped out 8 paintings and put in 9 brand, spanking new ones. The new ones are from my Zodiac series.

This blog post is dedicated to PISCES.

- 3 more paintings to go to finished the Zodiac series! I'll unveil the rest of the 9 that are complete one-by-one on my blog. The rest of the series should be done by the end of the year since schoolwork is starting to kick into gear :(

- Also I have to start and finish five 3''x3'' canvas' soon for a big group show in Atlanta. The theme of the show is Memories and Moments. For my submission, my theme will be Birthdays. I'll post pics of the set when they are complete.

Now ladies and gents, for one of the newest Hunter creations...here's Pisces...from beginning to end. Enjoy and as always, I would love to hear your thoughts! Take care!

See below how it evolved from a blank canvas:

  1. Hi Michelle,

    As a Pisces, I like it a lot. I love the presence of a door like structure, heart/door knocker like item and the color blue. That's us to a tee. We are our hearts, feelings, emotions...what ever people call it these days. We also are very much connected/comforted to/by water.

    Thank you - I feel duly represented and I am very proud of you and all of you beautiful work.

    Keep it coming!

    Norm =)

  2. Thank you Norm for the kind words. I'm so glad you feel that it suits your sign. This painting is of course a Virgo's interpretation of Pisces and am please to hear that you think I captured the essence of your sign well. To me having the door surrounded by space gave me the same feeling as one floating in the ocean.

    Thank you again and I will indeed keep them coming!!

  3. So it took almost two weeks to leave my thoughts ... I suppose this is one of those cases that it's better late than never.

    Blue goes with Pisces well (water sign, a constellation representing two fish, etc.), and the door as the item is perfect in my opinion. From my experience, Pisces tend to welcome almost anyone without question.

    The fact that the door is surrounded by space adds more to that point. When they open the door on the other side ... the possibilities are endless. At least that's my interpretation of it.

    I await the next painting.
